Nudist Investors, Nudist Investing

Ever considered investing in a nudist or naturist enterprise? It's a growing industry, even in this bad economy. Unfortunately, the law (U.S. S.E.C. regulations) makes it diffcult for companies to provide investment opportunities to everyday folks, but if you "have money", i.e. basically a millionaire or more, the law allows you to invest more easily as an "accredited investor". Even if you have a few thousand to invest, look into small start-ups, but do your homework to find the most promising.

So investing in a nudist venture is, in many ways, no different than other kinds of business, just may carry a stigma, depending on who your peers are. The industry carries it's own set of legal risks, but then most industries have legal risks that they manage to deal with intelligently.

Nudist Website Controversies

Running a nudist website can be a tricky deal. There are some pitfalls to avoid for your best chance of success.

Anti-Nudism
If you are out in the open and public about it, people may discriminate against you just because you are a nudist, which is why many nudists publish their blogs somewhat anonymously. They are probably doing nothing wrong, yet the mainstream always persecutes minority groups even whehn they're doing nothing wrong. Society just looks for new groups to hate on when previous target groups attain politically-correct status.

Photography - Adults
There are a couple concerns here. One is that images you are using are of people that don't want their nude photo published. Be careful, and seek confirmation that a given image is okay to use. This will keep you more legally safe and it's the right thing to do, regardless.

Photography - Minors and Children
Why risk legal issues or public backlash? Sure it may be innocent enough when a minor is captured along with adults in a nudist resort or beach setting, but I think nudist sites can provide plenty of imagery and quality without going into such a dangerous zone. Just don't include anyone under 18 in images. Be smart and be legally safe.

Webhost policy
Check into the policies of you website's hosting company before building your website there. Many web hosts consider nudist sites to be adult sites and no, you probably can't persuade them otherwise. So for owning your own domain, your best bet is to find a webhost that has no policy against adult sites or host on an adult webhosting server. If you have a simple blog site, many blog hosts, like Blogger, appear to allow nudist sites, but always make backups, just in case your site is ever inactivated.

Whatever the angle or level of your nudist website, be smart, be safe, be considerate and be responsible, and your chances of success increase.

Creating a nudist website

How does one create a nudist or naturist website? It depends on various factors, such as:

1. How technically inclined are you?
If you have no technical skills and can't afford to hire someone with technical skills, it's best to stick with something real simple to run, like Blogger sites.

On the other hand, if you're tech-savvy, you may want to get your own domain and webhosting account.

2. Are there nude pictures?
This is a big factor if you have to get a webhosting account. Webhosts may consider it an "adult" site if there are nude images (never mind that they may not consider a site with medical nudity an adult site). If they have policies against adult webhosting, you may have to look around for a webhost where you're less likely to run into problems.

3. Need you own domain name?
Getting your own domain name usually goes along with getting your own webhosting account, but doesn't have to. Sometimes you can get a subdomain hosting account, like "mynudistclub.generalwebhosting.com", without having to register your own domain name. Do keep in mind that your domain name registration details (name, number, address, etc.) become publicly-accessable for anyone who does a WHOIS query.

4. Need full control?
If you are a control freak (like me), you'll definitely want your own webhosting account. This way, you have full flexibility and can do almost anything technically possible with your website, instead of dealing with the restrictions of a small time page-hosting service.
